Milan, 21 January 2025 – Grant Thornton strengthens its commitment to promoting an inclusive working environment with the implementation of a policy aimed at guaranteeing its people the possibility to observe diverse religious holidays.

In force since 1 January 2025, the policy allows people to celebrate religious holidays other than the Catholic ones, provided that they are officially recognised by the Italian government, by submitting a written request to their supervisor.

As for the management of days off for religious holidays, people can choose among various options, such as paid holidays, paid or unpaid leaves, depending on their needs and in agreement with their supervisor.

Simonetta La Grutta, Partner & Head of DE&I in Bernoni Grant Thornton, declared: “This initiative is a further step forward on our path towards inclusivity. We want to make sure that each individual in our organisation feels respected also when religious traditions are concerned. We consider diversity as a shared growth opportunity; in this perspective, the new policy contributes to the strengthening of a corporate culture focused on enhancing and developing individual skills.”
