The “Superheroes Games” took place on 18 July 2019 within the GT Day, a team building event for the people of Grant Thornton Italian offices to make people know each other, create new relationships and favour collaboration within the team, as well as a sense of belonging to our brand. The event is part of the Grant Thornton International “People&Culture” programme, which aims at giving value to the people who work in the organization.
The games took place near Milan, at Green Village (Buccinasco), a private estate surrounded by a beautiful natural lake landscape. The leitmotiv of the 2019 edition of the GT Day were “superheroes”, and “Superheroes Games” were the focus of the day, as teams competed with each other under the supervision of four judges.
The games included the Wakanda amusement park, a fixed-time course divided in three sections, and the Aquaman trasure hunt, a clocked underwater treasure hunt. The lunch and some free time followed the games, before the awarding ceremony and an aperitif with DJ set that closed this amusing day.
The 2019 GT Day involved approximately 140 people coming from all Grant Thornton Italian offices, including staff locations, in an openness and inclusion perspective. In this scenario, the teams were as most heterogeneous as possible, including people from different service lines and seniority levels.
“The GT Day is a very important event for us” commented Simonetta La Grutta, Partner and Head of Vat at Grant Thornton – “It is an occasion to spend time with colleagues, competing with each other, in the peaceful mood that characterizes our organization, in a small tournament that requires different abilities. The team spirit and cohesion necessary to deal with the difficulties of the daily professional and working activities are therefore increasingly renewed and strengthened.
