Carlotta joined Bernoni Grant Thornton in October 2013 and currently works as an Associate Partner in the Private Client Services team.

She graduated in Business Economics from the University of Parma. In 2009 she specialised with cum laude in Business Management and Administration at the same university. From October 2010 to February 2011, she attended a Master course for professional training organised in collaboration with the Milan Board of certified chartered accountants. In May 2016, she completed the Wealth Planning Master offered by Sole 24 Ore Business School.

Before joining Bernoni Grant Thornton, Carlotta worked as a trainee-chartered accountant at two major tax and law firms in Milan and Piacenza. Her main areas of expertise include:

Design, structuring, and implementation of generational and succession plans at both national and international levels
Supporting legal teams in handling inheritance disputes
Assisting heirs in managing their tax obligations and those of the deceased
Advising on the reorganization of family-owned business groups and redefining governance rules in the context of generational transitions or business transfers
Managing national and international tax matters for HNWIs residing in Italy and for non-residents with investments in Italy
Taxation of financial instruments
Assisting individuals in real estate acquisitions through tax structuring at both national and international levels
Supporting voluntary disclosure procedures for undeclared foreign investments held by Italian residents, including interactions with the relevant tax authorities
Evaluating tax and succession implications related to the relocation of individuals from Italy abroad and vice versa
Advising and assisting in the repatriation of foreign companies that may be reclassified as “hidden” or “interposed” entities by Italian tax authorities.
